INTEGRATING NEUROSCIENCE & EDUCATION
Every child needs to be SEEN in order to truly SHINE
Neuroscience-based evidence suggests that during school years the developing brain is more plastic and adaptable than it will ever be. This hyper-plasticity holds a great educational opportunity to support the growth and potential of every student. With great opportunity comes great responsibility to support educators and students with the knowledge and practical ways to leverage this neuroplasticity.
The goal of SEEN (Social & Emotional Educational-Neuroscience) is to establish a strong, bilateral connection and knowledge flow between the Social-Affective Neuroscience research and the educational system. Our vision is to embed Neuroscience in school pedagogy and to translate research findings into practical educational content and programs by offering workshops and consultation regarding the application of neuroscience in education.
Our topics of focus include Brain Plasticity and Growth Mind-Set, Empathy, the Adolescent Brain, Vulnerability & Resilience, Social Pain, Social Attachment, Motivation, Creativity, Positive Self-Identity, Gender, Bullying, Depression, Stress and Anxiety. We believe that Neuro-Education is a powerful tool to alter school climate and enhance both educators and students’ health, well-being, satisfaction and academic success.
